Social responsibility

Eastnine shall have a positive impact on the people and societies that are affected by our business, which includes our employees, tenants, our contractors and suppliers and the communities around us.

Employees

Eastnine strives to be an inclusive workplace which supports diversity and openness, both in terms of how we behave as well as how we act, and we have developed an Equal Treatment Policy to support these efforts. Eastnine realises that diversity is a competitive advantage and the value of a variety of perspectives, backgrounds and competencies. We have zero tolerance toward any form of discrimination, prejudice or inequal treatment, and we commit to always continue to challenge and actively question our way of thinking. All employees in our organisation shall have the same opportunities for promotion, training and development regardless of their sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender identity, disabilities, faith or age.

Tenants

Eastnine shall deliver the highest possible degree of service to our tenants within the framework of each lease agreement. We continually carry out tenant surveys in the properties that we manage, and have launched focus groups together with our tenants in order to collect concrete feedback and find opportunities for improvement as well as potential for development. Based on our tenant surveys and the feedback from our focus groups, we then adapt and modify our properties to improve our tenants well-being, health and work efficiency.

Suppliers

Eastnine's success is not guaranteed without strong partnerships with our suppliers and consultants. We strive to create long-term relationships with our suppliers, and treat our suppliers with the same respect as we treat our own staff and our tenants. At the same time, we demand the same high standard from our suppliers as we do internally, in terms of legal and regulatory compliance, and in terms of showing respect for human rights and working conditions, and require that our suppliers follow our Code of Conduct for Suppliers.

Society

At Eastnine, we are aware that we are mutually dependent on the communities in which we operate. Beyond the societal contribution arising from our business, in terms of employment opportunities and tax receipts, we also strive to be a good social actor by supporting local community initiatives and by cooperating with municipalities and organisations. Eastnine is e.g. an active and paying member of Green Building Council Lithuania, a non-profit organisation promoting the development of sustainable environments through the design, construction and maintenance of green properties in Lithuania.
